I had a friend over for lunch yesterday. We started out with the butternut squash bisque, followed by the fruit and cheese salad followed by the chicken salad with grapes and walnuts and the nice warm green beans with apricots and almonds. We were in Heaven!  She is a picky eater but she ate everything in sight. I have made the chicken salad 3 times already. Unbelievable. There are so many recipes I am going to try soon. oh... I really want to make the triple orange salad and when I do I will let you know how it turns out.

The book came today. It is so delightful from the stories to the bears to the recipes. There are so many recipes that I can't wait to try from the no-knead bread to the girl scout mint cookies to the dilly cheddar scones to the potato leek soup. I loved all the introductory remarks for each recipe and your lead-in essays to each section of the book.
